Not the best point of my career

Management does not hear out their people, promotions had to do with politics, kissing up and hanging out outside of work. Nothing to do with knowledge, work ethic or dedication. My manager barely knew me, not engaged always had to remind him of issues and status of projects. He would give me things to manage and take over when it was doing well. But the moment something went wrong or too many questions came his way I got promoted with no title or raise. Imagine getting in new at a company and layoffs are happening all around, they had layoff after layoff for 2 years. It was a depressing environment

Pros

I enjoy the great company atmosphere, very relaxed and flexible in terms of working hours and professional dress. The employees are friendly and the organization as a whole is real down to earth. The departments have open communication and seem to work well with each other to accomplish many tasks.

Cons

The commute can be far depending on what side of town you live on. The area as to where the facility is located is not on the best side of town. Since the facility is older there are a few upgrades that are needed and it would be nice to have a paved parking lot.

Too many vice presidents for such a small company. The location is in a crime-ridden part of town. Awful communication from management and leads. Very unorganized and no procedures.
