-No diversity ( there is literally no ADA/handicap employees and very few African American employees)
-Union will never help you with anything.
-No real promotional opportunities (it’s a good old boys club)
-Superintendent is VERY retaliatory and vindictive. Will make promises to departments and then do the complete opposite of what he says.
Hire has destroyed employee moral, told us in staff meetings he loves laying off people, and has made it abundantly clear that all employees are overpaid fluff and the reason TCOE needs layoffs (even though he himself made it a point to have the board pay him $90,000 more a year than our previous superintendent.).
Hire claims transparency but twists facts constantly.
During the pandemic he made sure that every week he sent out Friday emails that basically told employees we should be grateful we have jobs and was constantly passive aggressively telling us he didn’t believe we were really working and he hoped he wouldn’t have to “do anything about it.”
In short, do not work for TCOE as long as Hire is there. He has no regard or respect for his employees or people in general.
And this comes from direct meetings with him, emails, and personal interactions.
