Top leadership has no idea what they are doing. Maybe they did 20 years ago, but now they simply have no idea what is going on. They have no strategic plan that stays in place for more than 6 months. Departments have no budgets so all expenditures are up to how the CEO is feeling that day. All this and more has caused top talent to leave and not look back.

Infrequent raises. I went 6 years without a raise before I left. Others went 8 years or more. No 401k matching. Never felt valued as a long term employee (not many employees at this company have 10 years of experience in or out of the company). Seemed like no effort was made ever to retain long term employees. Despite talk of family oriented company, employees who identified concerns, voiced constructive criticisms, or were otherwise not positive about the company faced job consequences. Gossipy culture. Communication channels were often limited to a select few. Limited budgets to buy or get training on new equipment or technologies. Frustrated attempts to innovate. Agree with other reviewer who said that the company misrepresented its size and also the years of experience of employees. There are more technology jobs now in Southwest Virginia, especially Blacksburg, with employers that value experience and skill sets. The most disappointing thing about this company is that it could have been a good company with a bright future but the opportunity has been missed.
