Pros

There used to be some good lads, also they spend alot on PR so they might look good on your CV even though in reality they are so tiny.

Cons

Only accept an offer from those people if you are looking for a short stint with no better pay somewhere else. They have recently changed their contract T&C so basically they can lay you off at any time of their choosing with no rights whatsoever. So even if they say it's a full time position, in reality you are contractor with very low day rate no matter how much time you spend with them, you will be always at their mercy if they decide to let you go. Their contract non compete and non solicitation make it difficult to join any other company in the IT industry in general after you either leave them or let go. So you would be also at their mercy even after you leave them. Bullying is the norm in this company, you will be bullied to do jobs that are totally not yours, so expect to do stuff that you didn't sign up for. They will be so nice to you till you leave your previous job and start with them, then it would be too late since they will use the reference as bargaining chip, which the longer you stay with them the more you will need it. They say they have offices around the globe. In reality it's just a guy working from their home at their home country. Most of their people are working this way outside of Ireland with no real offices even before WFH trend started. Check Linkedin if you don't believe me. They have recently acquired a company called greenfinch, which they have liquidated and kept only the key accounts and the people most aware of those accounts, those people's days are numbered. Which is not exactly the best morale boosting tactic. So expect lots of toxicity around. Top management egos are so inflamed and insecure to the extent they won't allow for any rising star to steal the spotlight even if it would benefit the company. Their egos are so inflamed to the extent they would pay good money in return for some bogus awards that only make them look good with no return on the company by any means. You might spend nights working on very critical projects then someone else will take the full credit for just showing up at the last minute to give you a pep talk when success is guaranteed and it is safe to do so, so they won't lose face. Then the best you can hope for is just to get the overtime worked as in liu vacation. The new contract T&C have some hilarious conditions, including giving consent for personal search and phone call monitoring even at home as long you are using company property. You are also expected to consent that they can move your personal data outside of EU, which is their work around GDPR. Don't expect any career growth during your stay in this company, you are there to be milked out of profit as much as possible with low pay as feasible and no return to you either in terms of training, promotion or even credit for your work.

Pros

I worked for TEKenable for over three years. I started when the company was still small, with offices in Pakistan (Islamabad, around 20 staff) and in Dubai (Managing Director of TEKenable Gulf) with about 20 - 30 staff in the Dublin Office. - Since I started, they were very open to those that needed to work from home (much more before the pandemic). They showed flexibility in working from home when needed and in whatever situation you were in. They always showed support for everything. Advantages of being a small-medium company are that it is more intimate and people care about people. They also support giving work visas to those who have the right skills and will pay for everything you need. Also will support your partner and children's visas if required. If they see you work hard and bring value to the company, they will often increase your salary to match the market. They were very open to listening to ideas and things that could benefit the company, the teamwork and daily work. They give you ownership of tasks independently of what role (Jr. to Snr.) you are. You will get challenged and will be able to learn a lot. They have a huge variety of projects so you will not get bored. If you are in a technical role (solutions architect, developer (bespoke or low code), etc.), you will get promoted very soon, even if you just started. Demonstrate that you know your topic, and you will be able to lead a full project on the technical side, getting your own resources. Huge opportunities for those who like being challenged, keep learning, are proactive and love to work in a fast environment with multiple projects to deliver. I had also had the opportunity of meeting the people from Greenfinch when they acquired it. It was challenging for management because of two companies with different values, vision and ways of working. Fortunately, TEKenable management was able in some way to keep their values and ways of work, even acquiring all Greenfinch staff. TEKenable will teach you many things that are useful in the market. I will highly recommend giving them a shot. It will be worthwhile. Even after signing the updated contract, I moved to an IT position in the Irish Market.

Cons

The company is still growing; thus, they are still learning the gigs around managing multiple areas, departments and what entitles them to manage over 150 employees remotely. But they trust their employees, so they give open the door to those who bring ideas to them. It is your chance to bring the change that you want and also it is your chance to show off your skills and what you are and will be capable of. They will get excited about new employees as they are the best thing that could happen to the company, so those who have started have the most opportunity to grow in the company quicker. Annual leave until I left was 20 Days, which is not competitive with other companies out there. But pretty sure you can discuss this with them when signing the contract. They are open ears.

Pros

Friendly colleagues, great teams to work with. Projects are challenging and diversified. It is a multi-project environment. There are options for reomte\hybrid work, company incentives continuous learning, and management is flexible.

Cons

No cons. (Unless for those who don't like a fast-paced environment).
