Pros

There are a few that really want to succeed and make a positive impact on the medical community.

Cons

The Leadership. Plain and simple. The reviews below that are truthful and not written by those paid to write them, all have a pattern. Bullying, inconsistency in discipline practices(rules apply to some not others), favoritism, harassment, dishonesty and at times hostile. There are no repercussions for their behavior, None! They are the ones doing the bullying, and are hostile. Do NOT disagree with them! If you do, be prepared for a brutal war. If you make them mad, they broadcast your life story and everything you told them in confidence because they were your boss and needed to know what is going on. I have heard about co-workers childhoods, their upbringing, their relationship problems and health issues from a high level leader. It was broadcasted that another producer is “on the spectrum and weird” then discredited that producers character when they left the company. They do that to take the spotlight off of their inability to effectively lead and manage successfully. This review will be quickly followed by one that looks something like this “it’s a great place no cons keep up the good work, management is awesome..”But please, approach with caution when considering working here.

I appreciate you writing a review on THMED. We spend a lot of time worrying about our team members and how we can better provide them with a great professional opportunity. For the past three years an anonymous survey has been sent out to everyone in order for us to identify areas of improvement. The responses we have received and our focus on both the positive and negative comments have been invaluable in our growth as an organization. I will take your feedback and incorporate it into our management training session set for October 5th. The saying "my door is always open" does not hold true for me because I sit in a cube. Clear and constant communication will continue to be my focus at THMED. I wish you the best and welcome a call if you want to discuss further.

Pros

Team members you work with on the floor. Office is kept up neatly. Covered parking. Starting to transition over to Flexible scheduling.

Cons

This company has a honeymoon stage. Usually last the first 3 months. Please be aware of your surroundings and get a feel for how things operate. There are certain people who are protected. There are certain people who are treated differently because they are a higher producers. They preach transparency but a lot of things are swept under the rug when no one is paying attention. If you are interested in the company, you should highly consider working as an account manager. Business Development (Marketers) and Recruiters have the shortest leash because they are in the positions that require the most work. AM’s have the easier workload of the group of the company position wise. It is all about what territory you are placed in to determine your success. There are AM’s making great money only having to rely on as few as 1 client in order to make decent GM on a month to month basis. They do not care about calling pipeline, taking the extra step, helping recruiters/marketers etc. Marketers are to bring in Contracts in order for recruiters to have jobs to work on and fill open vacancies with the client. There are several studs within this company as far as Marketers. It is all about bringing in contracts and having solid opportunities that have potential in finding someone for the job. There are Marketers who do the complete opposite. They bring in contracts that they know will not get filled or have a very low probability in finding someone for the opportunity, but since KPI measurements are important, it most of the time gets over looked on the quality of a job that is brought in. There are open jobs that have been open for almost a year that recruiters are blamed for not filling. Recruiters definitely have the highest turnover. During my 6 months I could definitely count the team had went through at least 15 employees. There is a reason why there is high turnover. Some realize that maybe the job is not for them and most others realize there is no chance to succeed. People who are hired and new to the team all struggle. There are relationships/cliques within the company. If you don’t get in, you won’t make money, There is no 401k match. They count the number of minutes you are late in to work. Just be mindful of this conversation, I am not saying to not work for this company because there are good hardworking people at Medestar, but definitely be aware and watch your back.

Pros

This company is highly commissioned based &you will have to do your part to make the money. If you surpass certain metrics, your salary & commission tier will increase. Commission is not capped, so you can make a lot of money (over six figures)

Cons

Commissions are hard to come by because their is apparent favoritism. Account Managers can pick and choose the Recruiter/doctor they want to fill a job with. It can be frustrating to see a job go unfilled because people don't get along on an internal basis. Leadership seems more like a "friend's system" than true management. Within my first few months I realized things are off. Some people in Leadership seem like they are dating which causes a weird vibe in the office. It's tough to increase your numbers when the playing field is uneven.
