Pros

Literally none that I can think of.

Cons

The MD has to be the worst MD I've ever come across. He's rude, abrasive, clearly pockets most of the money made by the company meaning people working in the office have outdated equipment, bad chairs, and rubbish facilities. The moral in the office is shocking especially among the support staff and management genuinely do not care about their employees. It's all about filling the number quota rather than the person behind it.

Pros

Some people were a good crack to work with.

Cons

I worked for TISSL some years ago & felt compelled to write a review about my extremely poor experience working for them to solidify & reinforce the accuracy & truth behind other reviews on this company & ultimately to warn others about working at TISSL. I was hoping as it was again, some years ago, that I worked there that their HR / management had taken stock, listened & actually addressed the reasons why staff turnover is so high & office morale so low but was genuinely disheartened to see, based on the previous 2 recent reviews, that nothing looks to have changed. The review posted on 28/03/19 sums up so much of how I felt working at TISSL. The main & prevalent issue – the CEO. He commands & dictates with an iron fist in this company, micro-managing so much & this oppressive culture naturally permeates down the management line with others following suit. He’s hot blooded & I frequently saw conflict in the workplace. I worked there for 6 months & in fact didn’t pass my probation period which I understand will have people questioning my motives behind this review, thinking I’m just a disgruntled ex-worker. During these 6 months I got my head down, learnt as much as I could, ticket closure count was high & I genuinely wanted to perform in the role, both for the company & the clients. Towards the end on my 6 months there I had some honest discussions warning about the CEO’s behaviours to my managers advising how oppressive it is, how that permeates & how low morale is in the office as a result. I believe the managers took the view that my face ‘didn’t fit’ & as a result failed me on some very questionable reasons. As the previous review mentioned, the software & solutions that were rolled out were done with little or no notice to us on the Support desk which was buggy & very unreliable. We then would have to field the calls from the understandably frustrated clients demanding we get it fixed now. These issues could often manifest on the rollout day & there frustration was understandable given they’re losing revenue as a result of a very costly & in my opinion overpriced system. It wouldn’t be uncommon for the CEO to come out then all guns blazing demanding that we get the issue fixed, presumably as a result of an escalation he’d received from the client. So you get attacked from all angles. Extremely demoralising. Questioning this oppressive & demoralising culture with the long termers (1+ year) on the Support desk they were pretty clear that this was the norm & to deal with it as best you could. Early into my training period was a real eye opener after approx. 3 months where I was sent with a more experienced colleague to shadow him & oversee the installation process at a restaurant. This didn’t go well & the manager was quickly on site & extremely aggressive towards us both. My colleague who was leading all this pretty much froze & didn’t have much of a response as to what the issue was & how we’d fix it. As a result the manager was basically addressing me demanding me to fix it of which I called the office & my manager told us just to leave the site. How in any way is that professional? That was a major red flag straight away as TISSL didn’t seem to care about the reputation they be creating in the sector. More minor but still notable was the request for volunteers to help out with some office related refurb work over a few weekends. When people were less than forthcoming an email was sent out denigrating people’s enthusiasm & loyalty to the company. You’re only likely to be promoted if you’re a yes person & happy to be trampled on from above. After all this & my time on the support desk I was actually relieved when I ‘failed’ my probation after ~6 months. Several jobs later & also the one prior to TISSL I have been in for 2+ years so that should highlight that the issue is on TISSL & the CEO / culture, not me. My advice to anyone considering a role at this place if its not obvious already – avoid like the plague. It ended up affecting my mental health & wellbeing. Toxic!

Pros

People you work with are great and I met some good friends there that's about it

Cons

Management have no idea what they are doing. Managing director tries to get involved in everything and doesn't have a clue what hes doing, and just annoys people, you also get treated like schoolchildren. No respect from any management you get funny looks from management if you leave your shift on time (they expect you to stay later for no extra pay) they also lie to their customers about what the system does (its buggy and doesn't work) and then your expected to deal with the angry customers on the helpdesk who I felt empathetic towards as they have been truly ripped off .to solve problems other people within the company have created. Also they lie about pay rises and promotions there will hire people to do senior positions instead of progressing current staff. Massive staff turnover avoid like the plague!!!
