Pros

- The ground staff (excluding management) are generally competent, cooperative, and easy to work with. - The product is okay - while it isn’t best-in-class, it delivers and meets expectations. - Leave policies are reasonable and employee-friendly.

Cons

- Senior leadership operates with inflated egos, and survival often depends on constant flattery rather than competence. - Hiring and firing decisions are heavily influenced by office politics rather than performance. - Managers function as mouthpieces for leadership, with little autonomy or understanding of their actual responsibilities. - While dissatisfaction with leadership is widespread, it remains unspoken, any form of dissent is met with immediate termination.

Pros

Talon. One is truly one of the best remote-first companies to work for. The people are extremely open-minded, supportive, and always willing to help. You can easily have genuine conversations with C-level executives, which creates a flat, transparent culture. The overall environment is positive, collaborative, and empowering. There’s complete trust in employees—no micromanagement at all—and you’re encouraged to follow your own working style. A great place to grow both personally and professionally.

Cons

Because the company moves fast, processes and priorities can change quickly, which may feel challenging if you prefer a very structured environment. Being fully remote also requires strong self-organisation, and sometimes coordination across time zones can slow things down. Benefits and internal tools could be more standardised as the company scales.

Pros

The majority of the employees are really lovely to work with.

Cons

Overly aggressive management on the business side. Lots of micromanagement from the owners if you work outside of the development teams. The culture is actually quite unpleasant if you are not a developer. I recommend you strongly reconsider if you are planning to accept an offer from this company.
