Pros

- Colleagues who are always willing to support - Everyone seems to care about the work and about equity in education - People are committed to learning - Values are center and the work generally aligns with the mission

Cons

- No flexibility within the role so you have very little time for strategic planning - You are not "consulting," decisions were often made without the input of those in schools - Consultant expertise was not leveraged - Limited advancement, most people need to leave to grow - Health benefits were dismal

Pros

Great people at the organization

Cons

Consultants are not treated like experts. We are often talk to as of many of us have never worked in education before There is also a lot of disorganization of thought and needless creation of paperwork that doesn’t always serve the need of the client
