Pros

-Pays for healthcare -Allows remote work

Cons

-All concerns raised in past reviews remain unaddressed, with no meaningful action taken toward improvement. -Voicing concerns about company processes is often met with blame-shifting, where employees are labeled as the problem rather than addressing the issues raised. -PMs frequently pressure devs to reduce time estimates, often to the point where estimates become unrealistic, leaving no allowance for error or documentation. Any delays or complications are then unfairly attributed to the devs. -Most systems and applications lack basic documentation, with only one or two people possessing critical knowledge—who are rarely available to assist. New hires are left to navigate complex systems alone, often requiring unpaid hours to grasp essential details.

Pros

- Good growth potential - Highly-collaborative workplace with individuals willing to help - Multiple opportunities to work on different projects.

Cons

- High burnout working overtime to meet unrealistic deadlines. - Uncompetitive salaries. Excuse is used that the company is in a small town with little local competition for tech positions so salaries can be lower than market-level rate. - Leadership is a lot of talk and no action. Many times soothsaying was done to prevent employees from leaving and then months later nothing had changed. - Lack of growth for the company due to squandered potential with the technology. The scope of the problems the company could solve was kept too narrow resulting in uncertainty in the future. - Lack of support for engineers. Software development life cycle was archaic. - Most projects were billed by the hour which meant upper management was focused on "butts in seats" which lead to high micro-management and patrolling of the office to make sure everyone was on task 100% of the time. Very little trust was instilled in employees. - Scapegoatism was rampant. If an employee left the company, suddenly everything wrong was their fault because they weren't there to defend themselves any more.

Pros

Great small company with paid benefits. Company has a number of employee engagement plans like Motivosity, Peer Advisors, and career paths.

Cons

Company offers a profit-sharing plan but never pays out. Company is profitable but owner keeps all the money for himself.

Our employee Profit Share Bonus was established in 2021. Since the plan was established we have paid our employees a bonus 2 out of the 3 payment periods. We have always shared our financials with employees and do not keep or hide profits.
