Not what it used to be. Definitely on the down swing
Pros
People. The people who helped build the company over the past 10 or more years are it's strengths. Many that are left are doing what they can with what they are given. Full kudos to them. Their stated culture and values look great on paper..<see below for continuation>
Cons
The CxO team that came in to change things are now it's greatest weakness. CEO only has failed companies under his leadership; that's a fact, look it up (Mobilicity, XM Radio). His management style is classical fear, intimidation and bullying. Brought all his friends from previous failed companies; again look it up. These CxOs have only made things worse by letting go of everyone who actually knew what they were doing, questioned and challenged what they were doing, and always went above and beyond. So much for "open door" policy. Low morale due to not so-veiled threats of firing or layoffs if you don't follow the "my way ot the high way" mentality. Repeated and loud swearing in management meetings and in the hallways. Severally belittling and berating employees in front of other employees. Refusing to listen to employee concerns, learn from past history and not repeat their mistakes. Seem only interested in "buying" revenue to then sell the company to exercise their options. Benefits are continually being reduced. Little to no training (sink or swim). No opportunities for advancement or career path. Trying to bring things up with HR is like hitting your hear against a brick wall. I am sure that they fear for their jobs. Tried to get people to post a "positive review" here, in exchange for a gift card. Overtime, and lots of it, is expected. Many great people left voluntarily after seeing where this company is heading and frustration of work-overload. Their stated culture and values look great on paper... but reality is very different.
