Pros

The Learning Lamp was great to work for as a disabled adult. They were easy to get flexible scheduling when I needed it. My direct manager was an amazing human who worked hard to put me in classrooms that worked with my disability. She also was understanding of last-minute call-offs. Subbing was great because I was allowed to pick when I worked. The HR team ensured all my Social Security paperwork was handled correctly and efficiently. I was grateful for the time I spent with this company. The daycares were always in ratio, which compared to other daycares I've been employed at is something to appreciate.

Cons

The pay in the daycare centers is meager, even if you have a college degree. The turnover rate was high, and the long-term employees were usually burned out. I was never at the same center long-term like many employees, but it was evident they were not overly motivated to do more for the children in their care because they weren't paid enough to take the initiative. Also, you are required to pay for your clearances which are expensive. It can be difficult to afford them if you are unemployed making being able to work here difficult.
