Pros

The company has tools in place that could help you do your job well. At least on paper.

Cons

I was a Staffing Manage and trained by someone from the corporate office. I was really impressed by the depth of the material. They have assessments, they have material for clients about everything you can imagine, they have matching tools for staff and clients, there is a policy and procedure for everything. So to say I was shocked when I got to my home office and almost none of these things were being utilized would be an understatement. I lasted two weeks. I quit because I could just couldn't stomach the complete lack of ethics. In that brief time my supervisor spent a total of 30 minutes training me. My second full day in the office I was left completely alone, expected to fill shifts with zero guidance. In my interview I was told there was a focus on matching clients with the right staff. I did not see that in practice. In fact, in my two weeks there, on more than one occasion, I was instructed to send caregivers who had not even completed new hire paper work, or been background checked to a client. In one case we hadn't even met the caregiver. And afterwards we learn that her home health aide license was revoked. If your background is in human services (like mine), vs. sales, you may find the environment jarring. I completely understand that this is a business and in order to make revenue you need volume. But it was just hard to see, at least in the office I was working in, that ethics take a backseat to revenue. For example, yes, telling a potential client that you need more time to find a qualified caregiver for them might result in them going to another agency. But the risk involved in sending someone you never met, who you haven't background checked or actually hired yet is huge. And parading them as seasoned staff is lying.

Pros

Base salary and commission structure

Cons

Chaotic work environment, terrible leadership, they literally push you through training and set you up to fail immediately in the field with no ramp up time. They do not value employees or collaborate to improve the quality of services or company culture. They fire you in the middle of a pay cycle so they don’t have to pay your commissions. Also they entice you to relocate to an area that they know they cannot staff, but the rep does not.
