Very tacky & unethical company

Pros

It’s a fully remote company

Cons

Lengthy interview experience. Had 5-6 rounds of interview. Extremely unprofessional business ethnics. I was hired for a job, received my offer letter, accepted it, set up my work accounts/emails, talked with my new manager and HR practically everyday for nearly 3 weeks. Two days before my start day, they rescinded my offer because of a “hire freeze” and “budgets”.

Bad reviews disappear

Pros

Mission is undeniable Remote work

Cons

Poor leadership Scared of bad press, even in a bad economy, and 3 bad reviews (without any client/confidential info) have been removed from this site over the last week. Everyone works harder than they should have to, and when bad reviews are removed from a site like this, it proves the lack of integrity this company has. You have to work hard to pull bad comments. Maybe instead, you should work on improving the culture.

Pros

Primarily remote-first culture. That's all.

Cons

1. They constantly put profit before people - including the lives of the patients who rely on the clinical trials they are inserting themselves into. During townhall meetings, they heavily focus on revenue generation, but don't seem to care whether or not the product actually works. 2. Low to no understanding of science, the clinical trial industry, or the software industry - to the point that they lie to their customers about what the company is actually capable of and gaslight their employees. 3. High Pressure environment with no actual credit when something goes right but then they'll actively set you up to fail and then blame you when things go wrong. The only people who succeed here are the people who say yes to their bad ideas - the voices of reason are thrown under the bus when the yes men get it wrong (which is often). 4. Compensation is not transparent and the raise structure depends entirely on how much your direct manager likes you - not how good a job you do. They also don't take cost of living into account when considering raises. 5. The larger the company grows, the more they insist on micromanaging their employees, which is destroying any employee morale that is left after their massive restructurings. 6. The turnover rate is atrocious, and that speaks volumes all by itself. 7. They keep losing customers because they make huge promises that they can't keep. In this industry, it's disgraceful to have a single project terminated early because of the cost of re-launching with a different vendor - and THREAD has lost many projects. 8. The way leadership runs this company is terrifyingly reminiscent of the way Elizabeth Holmes ran Theranos. I have no doubt that any positive reviews on here were either planted by THREAD leadership or were from employees who hadn't been around long enough to witness the massive dysfunction.
