I have been working at Threadneedle Investment full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good base salary, usual benefits. Some good people. Ambitious plans for next few years. Performing well when compared with peers. Well respected global brand.

    Cons

Outdated technology. "Who you know" culture. Limited options for progression within company. Bonuses and pay rises are not in line with the positive messages regarding company performance which are drip-fed to staff throughout the year. In house talent not used to full potential. Reliance on third party solutions which are often delayed and poorly implemented.

I have been working at Threadneedle Investment for less than a year

    Pros

Lean Teams; Culture is less cut throat compared to bigger firms; Values are good as well ; Promote from within; emphasis on learning and development

    Cons

Not as big as other established players; compensation is not as great as in bigger firms; leadership sometimes seems confused for future direction; training is not as structured as in other places

I worked at Threadneedle Investment full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's a good working environment with very friendly people

    Cons

    - a lot of office politics - near impossible to progress if you actually try hard at your job as its seen as a big loss to your current role. - Progression is only offered when you try to leave. - A lot of dead weight who don't know what they're doing.

I have been working at Threadneedle Investment

    Pros

    - decent remuneration - supportive and friendly colleagues - recently lots of interesting projects (for being in a BAU role) - City based so good to commute - training: support conferences, quals and internal workshops - take their values seriously, not just words on paper

    Cons

    - want staff to turn temp to perm; not everyone's favorite

I have been working at Threadneedle Investment

    Pros

    - Nice people - Good opportunity to learn the AM business - Company works to develop talent - Regular communication from management on direction and vision of company. - Company organises events where you get to meet executives plus CEO

    Cons

    - Lack of interesting IT projects - Most technology is bought of the shelf rather than developed in house - Lack of permanent staff - More about who you know when it comes to promotion and remuneration

I worked at Threadneedle Investment full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Decent remuneration and generous bonuses - Flexible and sensible about working time - Small enough that your voice can be heard - Producing decent product and revenues - Working hard to develop talent

    Cons

    - Sometime a bit of the 'old boys club', 'drinking through lunchtime' culture - Moving in size from a small org to a large one, and finding it hard to manage that shift - Over-reliance on contractors

I have been working at Threadneedle Investment

    Pros

Great place to work where it's easy to forget how smart and experienced some of your colleagues are because they are so friendly. Access to top management is unparalleled with some of them sitting right alongside you. Good hours and good work-life balance.

    Cons

Sometimes a struggle working within the strict rules of the compliance department. Conference calls usually happen at inconvenient hours.
