Pros

Great office location, very comfortable facilities, stunning office views, very pleasant work colleagues.

Cons

Management Time for a senior management and culture change. The current CEO drives a very old school hierarchical mentality. He appears unable to connect with his people on a professional and personal level. The current management team is too inexperienced to lead a company of such size and scale. It was OK in the startup days, but only OK. Three Ireland needs an exceptional leader to bring a shift in culture to the organisation. This needs to happen ASAP. Cultural change is notoriously difficult and I believe a full swap out of the SMT is required. HR A round of redundancies has squeezed the workforce, leading to many individuals undertaking 2 and in some cases 2.5 roles. HR has not implemented any kind of career development scheme, nor is there training budget available. Overall There is a deep and pervasive culture of micro management with a lack of autonomy in decision making. The majority of employees are simply picking up a pay check, Three Ireland is not a great place to work, especially for those in their 20’s or 30’s. Until the management and culture changes, Three Ireland will remain a career stepping stone at best.

Pros

Great holiday benefits (25 days plus ability to purchase up to 5 more). Great maternity benefits (fully paid maternity leave). Great people work here and interesting work.

Cons

Terrible senior management - very political and more interested in covering themselves and assigning blame than being fair. A LOT of micro managing goes on and so you have very little responsibility for delivery of projects and will be expected to deliver reports on a daily basis about progress. All reports must be tailored to emphasize the positive even if there is none. Pressure to work late and a negative view is taken of anyone who leaves on time - seen as a lack of commitment and will be remarked on - especially if you are going in at a senior role. HR are not effective and workplace bullying is not dealt with - especially that done by the senior management team.
