Pros

**Applies to the SF office** Free kitchen food The work is easy You will never stay late Office is in SOMA

Cons

Lack of leadership Inexperienced SF management The work is lacking creatively No office structure London HR is controlling One London director is impossible to work/communicate with The SF office is in a transitional phase so there are still a lot of kinks to work out but the main issue here is the lack of true leadership coming from the London office. The SF office is being led by inexperienced management that think they know how to run an agency. As good as the intentions are, there is a lot more damage being done than being fixed. London would see the issue if they had more of a presence in this office. It sends a message to the employees currently working here that they don't really care what happens within their own company when the people left in charge are able take advantage of their position.

Mired by poor decisions and terrible leadership

Pros

- Great work/life balance which they honor - Genuinely great people to work with (leadership excluded) - They make an effort to make employees feel welcomed and appreciated - It's comfortable

Cons

- Leadership: where do I even begin? Cliquey, unorganized and unprofessional. They want things done their own way, which is typically a way that most people would think is backwards or illogical. They avoid confrontation at all costs, which means there's a lot of subtle passive aggressiveness or lackluster attempts at transparency. They are ill-equipped to run a US office even though they have been doing so for the past 7+ years. - The real leadership from London has never made any attempts to communicate with anyone that's not leadership in each of their branches. They also seem ill-equipped to run a company, from the little I've seen/heard of them. - Most importantly, they have a toxic relationship with most of their clients and (at the time of this review), do not employ strategists or account managers, meaning there is very little room to justify creative/strategic thinking. They prefer to maintain client relationships that consist of just doing what the client says and getting paid for it. - Very, very little room for growth within the company, mostly because it's so small. - If they try to sell you on "a company trip to Ibiza", it's a lie that will never, ever happen. Don't buy it.

Pros

Besides the founders and leadership, the people are amazing. They are so warm and supportive and we became a family. The culture was awesome. I also need to mention the team in San Francisco who were brilliant.

Cons

The founders re-established themselves in the company in 2019 due to redundancies and poor business decisions. They took on roles that none of them were actually capable of doing - both from a lack of knowledge and intellect. They care more about profit than people and always will. The 'creative director/founder' is aggressive, uses his power for his own gain and treats people with an incredible lack of respect. There is a definite lack of vision and purpose in this agency, where senior management makes no effort to inspire or motivate their employees and those in power do nothing to help their colleagues. There is a lack of growth potential here due to the ways of working enforced by the founders, meaning that the ceiling is a lot lower than you might think. The work can be very monotonous with essentially having only Google and YouTube as clients, the potential for learning is limited. I loved working here until it all changed but please listen to me when I tell you to run as fast as you can in the other direction to this agency. You'll thank me one day.

Inexperienced/unprofessional middle management

Pros

Great teammates and a fun environment. Great clients, does a great job at ensuring everyone maintains a healthy work-life balance.

Cons

HR only insulates and supports leadership and didn't secure the salary info of the entire staff in the SF branch. Nepotism in middle management hirings. Some employees are promoted to leadership roles despite having a known and HR documented reputation for making very unprofessional, prejudiced remarks to other employees. Not a lot of opportunity for growth. The culture can be cliquey to a fault sometimes. Low level drama resulting in lots of trash talking behind other people's backs.
