Pros

highly regarded brand. good resume builder. beautiful products. you can make good money if you work hard.

Cons

horrible managers who don't know how to manage, develop or motivate staff. there is no such thing as days off - managers will text and call you day and night. $$$ is spent on stupid superficial things, why not use that money as bonuses for your staff, who all work really hard. turnover is out of this world, it's a revolving door. everyone wants to work at tom ford, and when they get here they realize what a joke it is and they run.

Pros

There are a handful of genuinely nice, smart and talented people who are a pleasure to work alongside.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the 5-star reviews on this platform. Many of these are from Tom Ford Beauty workers who are actually employed by Estee Lauder. In reality, working for Tom Ford is a 1-star experience. I came to Tom Ford from another luxury retailer and I'm appalled at the way this brand operates in comparison. Given the prestige of Tom Ford, you'd never know that the company runs on a skeleton crew. Tom Ford furloughed the majority of their work force during the pandemic and most of the furloughs turned into permanent lay offs. The remaining employees had their salaries slashed but were asked to take on the responsibilities of their furloughed/laid off colleagues. Subsequently, many more employees quit, exacerbating the head count issue. And now, nearly 3 years after the start of the pandemic, most of these employees have still not been replaced. The workers at Tom Ford are asked to perform what would be 3-4 different jobs at any other company. Everyone is overworked, underpaid and stressed, creating an extremely depressing work environment. And to top it all off, there's no HR department, so all of these issues go unaddressed. Furthermore, there are zero perks to working at Tom Ford. The vast majority of employees aren't bonus-eligible and there are no performance reviews/merit raises. The company offers clothing allowance to select employees, but what they don't tell you is that there are often "pauses" to the clothing allowance program. So, chances are you won't be able to use your allowance, even if it's in your contract. And, there's absolutely no flexibility regarding WFH. The company has a very aggressive in-office policy.

If you work here, you can work anywhere.

Cons

Long hours, expect to be on call 24/7, no structure, no HR dept, no employee investment
