Pros

If you have a good team in store, it’s the only good thing about it.

Cons

Almost everything. Company doesn’t listen to or care about the store staff. They’re arrogant, delusional and massively behind the trends. Staff shortage company wide but stores are told they can’t hire anyone so lots of them are working with 3 staff which is unacceptable. No progression unless you can be a heartless, arrogant bootlick. Pay is the bare minimum required by law with a paltry commission rate despite even the “lowliest” staff member having to perform multiple roles.

Thank you for your review of working for Topps Tiles. It's great to hear you enjoyed the variety that working in our stores can provide. Marketing initiatives like sponsoring Leicester Tigers and running promotions at other sporting events have helped Topps Tiles become the leading and most recognisable brand in our sector, and there are regular opportunities for colleagues to enjoy games at the Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium, in the box, and in the main stand. Pay rates are reviewed annually, and our advertised OTE, which is based on real in-store earnings, means many of our colleagues enjoy a take-home pay that isn't available in other retail jobs, we invest in our learning and development team to help all colleagues understand our product range to help our customers with their projects.
