Working at Treecard really feels like I am contributing to the change I want to see in the world. It is a fast-paced and empowering startup environment. The team at Treecard is compromised of a group of extremely passionate, intelligent, and accomplished individuals, that allow me to learn and grow every single day.
Cons
A completely remote work environment, but that is mitigated, by amazing quarterly retreats, where everybody in the company gets together in person.
Good compensation
Company cares deeply about environmental goals, always focused on that outcome
Highly skilled coworkers
Opportunity to learn new skills
Good work-life balance, little pressure to work overtime to meet deadlines
Cons
It is still a startup, so growing pains with process happen.
- Amazing team, not only is everyone the top of their game in their roles, but they're mission-aligned, positive and excited. Love their energy.
- Founders actively seek out feedback, take it onboard and willing to try our ideas. They don't really feel like our bosses
- Everyone works super hard, (we're against the clock with climate change) but are rewarded with unlimited holiday and flexible hours
- 3 retreats a year where we spend the week bonding and getting outdoors - dreamy!
- Culture is a hot topic and try new ways to keep tabs on each other socially. At the moment we all take turns to send in a video of what we've been up to, a new hobby, a holiday etc. as well as weekly catch up calls (no chat work allowed!)
Cons
The only con is not getting to see everyone all the time, but this is helped with the retreats.
