Pros
A big pro for this company is the people working there. Most employees are talented, conscientious, knowledgeable, and professional. I am definitely keeping in touch.
Cons
This company has a huge potential, the problem is that it is run by a CEO / Owner who is confused, inexperienced, uninformed, and commercially ignorant / uninterested. Confused= She does not know the basic difference between basic industry terms such as insights Vs foresights, buyer VS merchandiser, contemporary fashion VS current (the adjective). Inexperienced= She has never worked for anyone else in her life. She never had to report to anyone, or be a part of a team. Most importantly she never gained experience from working in the industry. Uninformed= she does not understand or have an interest in facts. Commercially ignorant / uninterested= she is more interested in showing off and talking at people. Making money is not a priority. Thankfully her husband subsidises her company through his many successful companies. The overall employment turnaround is 3 months. This is what happens. You apply for a job, you are hired, she is obsessed with you. Then she gets bored within a month and she asks you to do something completely different from what you were hired to do; sales people doing marketing tasks, trend forecasters running sales meetings etc. It does not matter whether you are great or bad at what you do. She will belittle you, bully and abuse you. She will either because you are good at what you do and she feels threatened or because you did not do a "good" job at something you were asked to do but never had done before. This is a vanity project to keep Jaana busy and validate her belief that she knows what she is talking about. Please avoid.
