Lots of talented people but lacking experienced leadership

Pros

Fantastic friendly team, everyone working very hard to deliver on the promising vision. The product, while challenging to execute, is a fantastic idea.

Cons

There is an unhealthy culture of never admitting flaws or refusing to take advice and this comes right from the top. I recall countless examples of extremely knowledgeable people being ignored because it wasn't what senior management wanted to hear. There is also no strategic management of the regions which results in very unclear company goals and direction.

It's about building something - hard working team, fun along the way - literally pushing for change

Pros

Everyone driving to the same vision - a change for business, a change for consumers, a change for those less fortunate via the charity work; everyone has a stake and everyone has a voice in moving things forward. Are their bumps along the way - definitely, but that's the journey when you're doing things differently. You learn every day.... because no one has ever done this before. It's massive and it's coming together in a big way in 2019.

Cons

It's hard. So many moving pieces, but if it wasn't hard it'd be boring. It's all how you look at it and what you want out of a job. You have to want the end game and there are lots of challenges, even full on blockers, but getting through them (and we do) is the fun part.

Great concept, clear user benefits. Some really great people in the company who have helped build the business to where it is now. Enjoyable working environment.

Cons

Poor leadership. Run by ex lawyer with limited managerial experience. Lacking focus and direction to effectively establish the basics or listen to field experts, so makes basic mistakes and doesn't learning from past ones.
