Company headed for disaster

Pros

People are very devoted and care about their work. Coworkers are friendly.

Cons

Micromanagement from the top execs to the employees themselves. They don't trust in the experience and knowledge of the employees they hired and want things done their own way - even if it doesn't make sense. HR is totally absent. They want people to execute whatever they say. The company is struggling to meet expectations and everyone is stressed. So bad that my skills may have even dimished here.

Don't let "the culture" fool you

Pros

Good compensation and flexible schedule.

Cons

In my opinion, the work environment is often described as "fast-paced," but unfortunately, this has resulted in burnout among employees. It's concerning to observe that the organization's training processes appear to be inadequate, and there's a noticeable lack of overall structure within the company. One of the major drawbacks in my opinion is the insufficient feedback and support from managers, which leaves employees feeling unsupported and without clear direction. The team operates under a hybrid model, incorporating both in-person and remote work. However, it's disappointing to see that remote employees are often left in the dark regarding important product and company updates. This lack of communication can create a sense of disconnection and confusion among those working remotely. It's important to highlight that there is linguistic diversity within the team, especially when it comes to English-speaking staff. Unfortunately, some managers at UEAT do not seem to be bilingual and conduct meetings exclusively in French. This disregard for linguistic diversity. In conclusion, in my opinion, UEAT's work environment has significant areas of concern, including burnout, inadequate training, lack of structure, poor communication, and issues related to linguistic diversity and feedback authenticity. These issues need to be addressed to create a more supportive, inclusive environment.
