Horrendous place to work

Pros

They have a competent relations manager who will respond to this review in an eloquent fashion making it seem as if everyone at the company is as well versed as he is but they aren't. So to you Sir who just came on to the company.. Good job on you trying to clear the smear that is Ultatel. Despite that however.. Before I have a chance to rebuttal the "politically correct" response that you will write, the truth of the matter is this is no place anyone should want to work. Continue below..

Cons

For starters there is no IT department... I was hired to come in the very next day because their previous tech was smart enough to jump ship and find a better job, something I should've done as well. I found it odd that there was no sort of process for Onboarding employees. I was then tasked with being a one man department not only doing everything for Ultatel but also being an in house tech support for another client so you're basically holding two jobs at this point and only being paid for one, and not a lot I might add. Being stretched out so thinly I did what I could while I worked here, it would have been 2 years in September 2021. I saw the company grow and I was there to support it all and how did they repay all that hard work? Well a small argument between the CEO and his unreasonable expectations was all it took for them to make an "executive decision" to not employ me further. The most important detail of all is the fact that expansions were discussed with plenty of time to plan, we were supposed to bring in more technicians I would be able to train them as such and be able to cover more area with less time. That never occurred, I was still responsible for covering a 4 hour radius with no type of help from anyone else, responsible for doing all the tasks for Ultatel as I was hired for on top of being the in house technician for another company because the CEO has some type of agreement with the boss to provide these services as well. Now the argument.. I was given 6 laptops on Monday to repair, this customer wanted them back as soon as possible, they were also having internal ISP issues which for some reason they felt that it was up to me to fix. Unreasonable expectations.. I scheduled the appointment follow up for Wednesday to allow their ISP to come into the office and fix their internet and allow me time to work on the computers.. Wednesday morning comes around, I wake up at 6 am, get all the stuff ready that needs to be shipped for the day and head out. I realized I left the laptops back at my house with me wanting to rush out the door and make sure I make it on time, I called the customer and advised of the delay since I have to turn around and come back to pick up the computers.. Customer was perfectly ok with this since they understand that things do happen, they had no problem. As I'm driving back I get a call from the CEO of Ultatel, he asks me why I'm not at the client yet, and before I'm even able to get a sentence out he starts to berate and belittle me, accusing me of being irresponsible, indicating that whatever I was doing at the moment wasn't important (but it was) and was just very aggressive towards me, I then stood my ground and matched the same energy he was giving because at this point I've had it.. I'm doing anything and everything for both him and this other company and all he has to say in return is how bad of a job I'm doing. He then hung up the phone and did not want to speak to me further, that afternoon he had his other manager reach out and say I would now be reporting to him instead and I figured that was probably for the best and didn't think of it as anything. The very next day he confirms they've now hired another technician out of the blue, after I had been asking for help for months! I reported the incident to HR and to my new manager, they advised I had nothing to worry about and that we would be moving on from this. They then asked me to go in, return all the equipment I had and train this new technician for two days, meanwhile I'm still checking in with HR to confirm everything is OK. They assured me everything was fine and that I would not be losing my job. On the third day, they called me in the afternoon with a quick 30 second call and expressed they won't be needing me anymore. The CEO didn't have the balls to break the news to me to my face when I was there and instead was a coward by having someone else simply dispose of me. All of this as I was in the process of buying a home for my family, I have an 8 month old boy at home and they all knew about my situation and that did not matter.. All the work I did for them and all the hours I put in to go above and beyond did not matter. It's been a couple of weeks now and they have now gone silent after all equipment was turned in, I submitted my expense sheet for the month of April and I've yet to be paid for it. I reached out on several occasions to get a hold of someone to inquire about this and have received not even an email back. And last and foremost you can try to do your best to mend your response so that the business doesn't look half as bad as what you guys are but in reality eventually the real reviews such as this one will stand out despite all the fluff reviews you've made your current employees write just to boost your image.

Pros

Incredible engineers, incredible customer support team in Egypt, and decent perceived incentive system

Cons

Horrible management, too many political and family ties, and the base pays were not high enough to support sales reps in very expensive cities until they could get their feet off of the ground.

Pros

They supplied coffee and a nice quiet office space.

Cons

Too many to count. In short, there is no unique value proposition. They have some sort of Teams integration but it is just like everyone. They don't pay vendors. They don't pay reps commission. The have a culture of lies and misrepresentation. It is the classic bate and switch approach. The customer experience is terrible. Benefits are terrible. Frankly, the leadership and the overall company is a joke and not the sort that you laugh with rather one you point and laugh at ... It is bad people. Very very bad. Company culture is terrible!
