Cons

not given enough support from supervisors/ managers. expected to work to a far too high standard giving you too much work for the amount of time you have to do it in.

Pros

Easy jans simple ob get good breaks

Cons

Incompetent laxy manager, if you dont fit, you'll get bullied. They lie. It's not about quality of your job, it's about to look good. Manager is lying and is very unprofessional and he like you or dislike you not relevant to your quality of job.

Pros

My colleagues were a wonderful bunch of people to work with. The managers were always very understanding and put wellbeing first. The CEO had hampers delivered to staff at Christmas, which was a lovely touch. Shifts were flexible to fit around classes. Great pay. Great variety of ad-hoc tasks. The company has a benefits platform that gives you access to discounted gift cards. The company takes health and safety very seriously . Great training and there appears to be plenty of opportunities for career progression.

Cons

The zero hours contract provided me with very little security.

Pros

Working with the students is really rewarding

Cons

HR don't understand their own policies. I lost £455 because of this. Lack of awareness and understanding about disabled and neurodiverse employees. A culture that allows bullying to take place and continue long-term. Severe lack of training and progression opportunities. The smallest pay rise is always followed by a request for employees to donate to charity or to a whip round for higher earning employees that are leaving. If your face doesn't fit, you're not going anywhere positive here. Poor work/life balance. Senior leadership is completely out of touch with real life. Almost everyone decent and fair has left over the last 10 months. I've never seen such high staff turnover. Managers and HR will do anything to sweep issues under the rug and pretend they're not happening wherever possible (IE it's not in writing) I was told to avoid hiring people in the UK on certain visas because it wasn't worth the "hassle" When certain managers make mistakes they'll go looking for a scapegoat and never take responsibility. If you're that scapegoat and you speak up, you'll be gaslighted and made out to be mentally unstable. The higher up will always be believed and trusted over a subordinate. Managers that have been promoted from within the company often have little to no training and experience in management, and thus perform poorly.
