Pros

Benefits are decent for a small company Salary is competitive Company has managed to hire some genuinely kind, talented, hard-working people who want the company to succeed

Cons

-Leadership team has cult-like approach to culture-building -Onboarding felt like a creepy proselytizing exercise where new employees are expected to bear testimonies of the company's mission -Sexist jokes made by leadership often- even in front of potential customers -Leadership team banks on the clout of its board rather than the merit or actual adoption of the product -Cult of narcissistic personality, feels like leadership wants people to suck up and give standing ovations after everything they say (or else) -Leadership hasn't successfully brought technology to market before, doesn't understand and sometimes rejects best practices in tech -Leadership alienates anyone who disagrees with their opinions (including target users and potential customers giving feedback) -App hasn't launched yet so there is a lot of empire-building, insecurity among staff at all levels, and fragile egos -Long hours, constantly shifting expectations and scope, sudden deadlines -Poor communication from leadership and between departments, sometimes secretive even about product features -Not a supportive culture, not enough skills development, coaching, or feedback
