Pros

There are no pros at all.

Cons

Management is awful! My manager was a (most likely) racist Korean guy who yelled at me, called me names, and excluded me from the rest of my team claiming that I was not a good employee. When I told HR and upper management, they flipped it on me and fired me with an unjust PIP. HR is absolutely not here for you! They are here for the benefit of the company. The role was extremely stupid. You do close to nothing all day; just watch the machine run and try to solve the problems that arise. Sincerely, you do not need to have any type of degree to do this work, it is an absolute waste of time and energy to do. You gain no real skills or expertise to apply to another company in the future. You are also expected to work ridiculous hours, and management does not care about work-life balance in the slightest. Within one week, you may work both day and night shifts, which is detrimental to your sleep schedule and health. Lastly, SOME (not all) Korean people have prejudiced viewpoints (esp against black people) that may translate into the work. Please keep that in mind. Please do not work here, especially as a newly graduated engineer. You will find bigger and better options.

Pros

Growing industry (Great opportunity to learn EV battery industry) High salaries compared to low-cost living areas - Warren, OH (They are planning to open 3 more factories in Lansing, Nashville and North Indiana. Work life Balance 10% Annual bonus, 4% 401K, Medical insurance, $20 cell phone reimbursement, Overtime pay and LG and GM employee discount (10%-20%)

Cons

I am not a GM employee and I am not an LG employee. It's a new company, so the processes haven't been set up yet. As it is a new company, there are still many areas that need improvement (Process and Company policy. Many of the employees are short-term business travelers from LG Korea. They probably have a hard time hiring local employees.

Pros

Most of the people are pretty cool to work with..

Cons

Where shall I begin? The pay sucks. Safety is a HUGE issue. Most of the people in HR don’t have a clue. And lord forbid don’t get work restrictions.. and don’t put in a two week notice when you quit.. bc they fire ppl for that. This is just the beginning.. no one is on the same page at all.. exposure to fumes and chemicals is a real thing contrary to what they try to say.. and the list goes on
