Pros

Learned a lot about the art world. Met some cool collaborators and friends. Saw some cool art. You will learn a lot about yourself and how to interact with others. You will learn your own boundaries within the professional world. If you want a “insane NYC boss” horror story this is the place. There is something kind of glamorous about working here.

Cons

Indira is just mean and kind of crazy. She is also just blatantly virtue signaling. If you have a doctors appointment, family issue, another job ect. She won’t care. She goes after young pretty girls who she knows she can manipulate. So stressful for no reason.

Pros

There are literally no pros.

Cons

Indira Cesarine might be the worst, most messed up human being I have ever had to encounter in my life. She tries to cheat the system by not hiring even one full time paid employee. Instead, she hires 10 inexperience interns to do her work for her while she sits, yells at them, and complains. And the best part is that she doesn't even pay her interns. Indira peaked 20 years ago and fails to accept that. She is constantly lying to herself saying that shes such an important person in the art world; she is not. Other galleries I have spoken to her think of her as an awful and pretentious person who lacks talent. They say her gallery is bottom tier, and they are completely right. Indira barely puts on the AC in the gallery, except for upstairs in her office, so the interns are left sweating downstairs. She has movable walls, covered in plaster. It looks terribly displeasing. She also lives in the basement of it, even though she would never admit that. I don't know how to describe what exactly is wrong with her. Let me describe a few different circumstances. I personally heard her once saying that plus-sized people are irrelevant. She is not feminist; in fact she is completely threatened by other women (especially her interns), and does her best to put them through hell. She has personally yelled in every interns face, made every intern cry, and treated them horribly. She shuts down people who have actual talent, and does not allow them to grow. She also limits everyone's lunch breaks, so there is literally no escape from her. God forbid you're out of the gallery for more than 20 minutes, you're going to get a call. I could go on and on about Indira for hours. Point is that she is terrible, and there is definitely something wrong with her. She is a female shamer, a user, a cheapskate and definitely has untreated mental issues.
