Pros

Amazing engineering and coworkers from around the world.

Cons

CEO and upper management is shady and they don't care about the core product at all. No career opportunities and no manager interactions. The CEO is a loose canon that doesn't care about anyone unless if you're working on what he's most interested in at the the moment. No career growth opportunities and HR is untrustworthy. Come here if you want to work on a Chat GPT wrapper that's nothing special and want your career to die. Nobody here knows what they want or how to build and ship good product.

Great to learn but tradeoffs

Pros

Impressive client list, access to top AI tools for all, always something to do

Cons

Still a startup and typical tradeoffs with that including unclear communication channels and too many priorities. Can feel political with success sometimes relying on who you know.

Pros

SHIFT is a startup, which allows me to be part of, and experience, different changes and states of growth and development SHIFT has great culture; We have group activities and events that help bring us closer together, socialize and connect (especially important since we work remotely) SHIFTers are all wonderful people who are encouraging, supportive and funny! There is consistent feedback which helps employees constantly improve and evolve (I never feel like things are static or not progressing)

Cons

Since SHIFT is a startup there is a very quick turnaround time for tasks/projects, which makes for a very fast-paced environment. I thrive in this type of work environment but it's not for everyone and can cause burnout for some people. Again in the nature of being a startup there are constant changes with people leaving and new people joining, which can sometimes make it difficult to develop long-term connections
