- VendorPanel are a technology company that genuinely want to do good in the world. Their software helps clients across many government, corporate and education sectors to make better purchasing decisions and assisting to achieve ESG milestones. It is easy to be a CSM when the product aligns with your values - Amazing internal culture, such a friendly team and blend of different personalities and backgrounds. It is the type of organisation where you can come to work as yourself without fear of judgement! - Truly a flexible working environment, hybrid work offering, and not a culture of clock watching or monitoring time. - So much opportunity for career growth, particularly in the Customer Facing teams. I have seen many people during my time with the company transition from one department to another in-line with their career goals. - Transparent leadership, the team is kept quite informed about strategic decision making and the product strategy
Cons
- Like all scale up technology companies, there have been growing pains. A lot of restructures in my time there, staff turnover and changes in client portfolios. - There is a lack of investment into the Customer Success and Customer Support teams in particular. It was at times disheartening to see additional sales roles be appointed, while the client support teams were stretched so thin. - The Customer Success team in particular lacks some acknowledgement from exec and the board - This has improved during my time with the company, but pay parity for team members in the same roles. - It can be frustrating as a customer facing person when there are client product requests or changes that are being raised by majority of customers and are not prioritized on the product roadmap. At times, it felt like the priority was the release new products for commercial opportunities above improving the existing systems.
