High turnover with employees frequently leaving or being let go. I've had a new manager almost every year while working here, and even twice in one year on more than one occasion. It feels like there's no opportunity to grow since each managerial relationship is so short lived. I've even had no direct manager for months at a time after the previous one left or was let go. Because of the high turnover, many systems and processes have become an enigma with little to no documentation and nobody claiming ownership. Employees are let go abruptly leaving no opportunity for knowledge sharing.
High stress due to an ever increasing workload and a reluctance to increase pay. The amount of things I'm responsible for is constantly growing and the support I get from others is constantly shrinking. All of the colleagues who supported me in my day to day work have been let go only to be replaced by more management. As my workload and responsibilities increase, my pay remains stagnant.
