I had worked in Security Research team. During my interview rounds I was told that I will be getting lots of Hardcore Security related work but it turns out to be a bait. Here, you don't have anything related to security and management is clueless about how security team is build and what work does a security guy do. They will ask you to do IT level work like deployment or some useless work like Instrumentation which is just another waste of time and skills. They will keep on switching your projects. They will try to lure you in doing work which is not even related to your profile or skills and if you dare to refuse the work, your *Senior Management* will ask you to work on different project. If you are a security passionate don't join this company as this will destroy your entire career and you will have to retire from Virsec because you will not be good enough for the industry anymore. Management is the worst here. No one has any clue about skills of the employee. They just give the task which will fulfill their requirements, you can go to hell they don't care. Last advice, Don't join Security Research team if you are willing to grow and Don't want to be a slave.
