Pros

Brilliant people, teams are all very close. Flexi time is great if you can use it.

Cons

Visualsoft likes to present one thing for PR purposes when in reality the situation is entirely different. Not as flexible as they make out to be at all! Senior management never listen to staff concerns regarding changes to the business and this has lead to a lot of resignations. Some staff are having to work 10 hour days to meet unnatainable KPI's

Pros

Lower level staff- The staff have a huge desire to do well, learn and develop/progress their careers at Visualsoft. The free breakfast and fruit is useful.

Cons

When Visualsoft was a smaller business ran by original founder it was an impressive business offering a professional approach to offering eCommerce solutions to all levels of businesses. You followed a work hard play hard philosophy while keeping mindful of being as ethical as possible, trust and respect was given both ways. The company started to decline once the owner sold their stake in the company and the senior management team was changed. The CEO and other directors do not know how to run a large business, their communication with staff is poor, their decision making is very Amateurish. Many staff are unhappy as their KPIs are unrealistic and feel like they can't use flexible working changes as it's often frowned upon and used against them if there is an issue. The pay is below industry standards and seniors wages don't get higher than £20k. The staff also feel like they cannot approach directors/senior management with any issues/questions as they will not get taken seriously and more often than not would create a rod for their own backs. The platform is old and dated for many clients, only the newest sites offer a standard compared to other top digital companies but these would cost existing clients to much so they are left with a poor performing website. Account managers are hired to deal with complaints and upsell features on a constant basis, they don't have time to plan and strategise properly and problems are dealt with reactively not proactively. The company is structured to get as many clients on board for website building and marketing services, this would be fine if VS hired the correct level of staff and resourced for the extra workloads created. There are far too many clients per staff member and the lack of quality is clear to see, this is not the fault of the staff member or team but more as a result of not having enough time to dedicate their skill set to any one client for longer than 15 minutes. For this reason the prices are far to high and clients are getting ripped off. The smoke and mirrors I referred to in the review title describes the little gimics the directors use to sugar coat all changes to staff which offer no benefit and also hide how poor the professionalism is to the outside world. When you look at their social media posts and blog posts you have to laugh otherwise you would cry at how you can see through the elusion that this company is a market leader. The only people who do well in the company are the directors and their circle of friends, they often brag about the extravagant spending they do in a daily basis as well as turning up in luxury cars dressed in free clothes from companies that the less fortunate staff work daily on. Egos create atmospheres.
