Workplace bullying allowed

Pros

At the end- none. In the beginning all seems great, but then you start to notice things. The pro is you do receive a paycheck every other week.

Cons

FDR trains against workplace bullying, yet allows it internally on every level. When bullying is brought to attention of leadership, it is brushed off and staff are expected tow accept it or leave. HYPOCRITES AT THE LEADERSHIP AND ADMINISTRATIVE LEVEL! Many are bullied, but tolerated it to have jobs allowing them to work for the cause. They claim to support family values, but do not support families of their own staff. A few of the best staff carry the majority of the company. Staff who work from their homes are NOT held accountable for their work and attendance where they should be. Their accountability is a joke. Records are falsified and home-based staff are often not where they say they are. Front-line paralegals work very hard, but other staff at FDR are highly over-paid and not accountable. A lot of great staff, but the RTAs and most of the regional managers are bullying, lazy hypocrites. I've seen the company screw so many front line staff for minor offenses, but upper management is untouchable even though leadership acknowledges to your face they know the problems and refuse to address. Waste of a career-driven persons time. If you want to work for a fair, kind company, this is definitely NOT it.

Pros

Decent starting pay, good PTO, flexibility The county was amazing to work for. Wish they could find room in their budget to not use VOCE and just hire paralegals through the county.

Cons

This company is a disaster. How they win the contract over and over is amazing. Their management structure is a joke. Managers work from home so they have no clue what is going on in the office. Employees come in late but just call to be clocked in and no one knows. Employees take 2 hour lunches and no one knows because there is no oversight. Managers have the mindset "my way or the highway" even though they couldn't do any of our jobs. The one manager made a facebook post about her employees causing drama. How professional. If she had half a clue she would have known not to post on facebook and would have listened to her employees before accusing them of being "blatantly insubordinate" for standing up to workplace bullies. No one is held accountable for their actions or lack of actions. No back up when short staffed. Trainings are a joke. There is absolutely no room to grow with this company. If you are complacent, this place is for you. Someone from accounting sent out a spreadsheet with everyone's pay to the entire company. There was no apology issued for leaking sensitive information. This company is an embarrassment to child welfare.

Pros

Good starting pay, vacation, independent work, flex time but they can be not so flexible about that, and coworkers in county offices are mostly really friendly and helpful. That’s about it.

Cons

No raises, micromanaging. I would say that you think that you’re hired to be a professional but they will micromanage you like crazy and treat you like you’re a little kid. There is a complete lack of usable training but plenty of trainings that have nothing to do with your job. Also, the turnover is very high but no seems to care about that and keeping their employees doesn’t seem like a priority. It really kills morale and makes it difficult to have a positive outlook on your job. Lastly, there is a COMPLETE disconnect between you and your supervisor. Most supervisors don’t even know what you’re doing and they aren’t in the office very much yet set unobtainable goals for you.
