Great company for the most part

Pros

Hearst is a good company to work for, with stable leadership and good health benefits. Locally, you're around a lot of likable people who have been there for years. There are company holiday parties, occasional food trucks and free ice cream trucks on Fridays in the summer.

Cons

Management can be a pain sometimes, tough to get useful feedback. I was woefully underpaid. No opportunities for advancement.

Pros

Fairly easy and good experience if you want to get into radio broadcasting.

Cons

Little opportunities for promotion. Low pay. Frequently asked to cover other shifts. Over night shifts sometimes required. Weekend shifts often required.

Pros

Honestly some cool people and personalities

Cons

They do not care about you, your growth, or your quality of life. They do not care what you sacrifice or how hard you work. They will consistently lie to you until you burn out and quit and then replace you.
