Company culture at its worst
Pros
Good health insurance, Work from home options, but nothing exceptional compared to other companies in the field.
Cons
There is a serious level of disaprity in the pay between interns/college grads and the people who have been in the organisation for long time. No proper promotion, appraisal cycles for the past 2-3 years. Even the variable pay, the bonus component is not properly paid, multiple times it wasn't paid at all, whenever it was paid it was way below 100%. No work life balance, again you can say this is team depenandant, but this is more or less same irrespective in all the teams. Be ready to work on anytime, everytime, weekends, be ready to sacrifice your personal life. Too much micromanagement, managers just want the work to be done, no focus on how it is done. There is no proper process defined or the process changes often which makes the life of people who do the work a living hell. Also, there are too many people to manage work than people who actually work. No stock benefits, again when I'm saying this, there could be people who might had rewarded, but for me and the people i have spoken with, this hasnt happened for a long time. Despite putting good amount of time and productive effort I haven't got any proper appraisals/awarded with any stocks. As the company boasts itself to be the most ethical company its actually otherwise. No transparency whether it be about the project timelines, about the compensation. People get appraisal and promotion off cycle, and worthy people who don't cry about pay are left with nothing, not even time or personal space. Forcing people for innovation. Despite occupying us with work even on weekends, company keeps this unrealistic expectaion like forcing the people to innovate. I'm not saying people shouldn't innovate. But denying people proper appraisal and bonus (basic) just because they didn't innovate, after putting all our time and effort on project doesn't go well.
