Pros

Opportunities to work with big names in advertising industry

Cons

Management is unprofessional and condescending. Do not work here if you want to feel trusted or respected, even if you are a top performer. If you want your number of calls to be closely monitored, DO work here (this is true across all teams except for marketing.) Lack of training, development, camaraderie, and even more importantly....success. I’ve never seen WARC meet a quarterly goal.

Traumatising experience in NB team

Pros

Supportive colleagues, slightly-better-than average insurance

Cons

I was here for more than a year, and the experience with management is appalling. There is lack of strategy and direction for the growth of business. Managers lack empathy and structure, and there is zero SOP in place. NB team left to fight for their own opportunities and % of deals, and it's not an issue the management looks to resolve. If you're looking for 'survivor' series as a full time job, this is where you come to.

Pros

Nice Colleagues and the chance to work with a few big names.

Cons

Since WARC Americas was under the same leadership throughout 2019, NB quarterly goals were never achieved. As NB continuously missed targets, management decided it was best to record and review team members phone calls both internally and externally to see where the problem stemmed. One of the many ideas Management landed on for better results was designated hourly calling. One of those times was 3pm on Fridays exactly when everyone wants to buy a new subscription from a company they’ve never heard of through a cold call. Don’t worry; you receive a daily and weekly email on how many calls you made, messages you left and emails you sent. One of the more tedious ideas NB management came up with was the daily morning meeting where you have to stand (not sit) in a circle to tell the team “What you are excited for that day”. WARC leadership is so bloated with bad ideas, the parent company; Ascential closed one of the two offices in the US in 2020. There was a travel and budget freeze in 2019. The job is 90% cold calling which would be fine IF they didn’t keep cutting tools.
