Pros

You'll get the chance to work with some of the smartest and friendliest people who are on an ambitious mission. The CEO, VPs, directors, and generally everyone care about the well-being of others Seemed to be a lot of people passionate about what they do. Customers genuinely love the product

Cons

Hard to give honest con list because it was my first job but ... It's a fast growing start-up. So there will be growing pains, but if you like your role going in, you will love working at Wave. Customer facing roles can be stressful if any little thing goes wrong as you usually deal with customer's primary source of income. Worst con is you'll be sad when you leave (if you do), because Wavers are genuinely great people

Pros

- The entire team is full of incredibly dedicated and motivated individuals all working towards the same goal. Every single person I've met is so driven and smart, it's truly inspiring and will be so helpful to me in my career development (and life in general!). Everyone is also super helpful and approachable. - The culture they've created is amazing (e.g. social events, activities, etc.), and the fact that they have maintained it as they grow in size is remarkable! - Management really cares about your growth, both personal and professional, and will work with you on your goals. They encourage you to try new things, and will help you if you are looking to grow or expand on a new skill (e.g. with the Mentorship program). - The interview process was really cool, and different than what I've experienced in the past. You will first get a call from their wonderful HR person, followed by (potentially) a second call and then an in-person interview. The interview is longer than usual (a couple hours or so). The goal for them is to see if you'd be a good fit, so you will have questions that are targeted towards your expectations, goals, and experience, but also about who you are as a person! It was a fun interview, and I wasn't as nervous as I usually am. - If you're looking for a company to grow with, and be excited to get up for work everyday, this place is for you!

Cons

I honestly can't think of any, this is really only a con if you're not looking for this type of organizational structure: - Management really trusts you to do your job, and won't necessarily be on top of you to complete your work - not for someone who needs constant supervision.

Wave in a nutshell

Pros

The absolute greatest thing about working at Wave is the people. It's hard to imagine a company of 100+ people where each and every single individual is intelligent, kind, creative, caring--but Wave is just that. Then there's the work: unlike other customer support jobs I've worked in the past, there is a genuine sense of fulfillment that one derives from working in customer support/success at Wave. This is a combination of the challenging, but very satisfying work, and the fact that you're working with a team of people that you care about and respect. Wave is a place that recognizes value in its employees, and nurtures it to its full potential: it is a company that's not only concerned with its own well-being, but also the well-being of the individuals who make up the whole. The fully stocked snack cupboards and beer fridge don't hurt either ;)

Cons

There is a never a dull day at Wave, and never an easy day either. Those who are prepared to be challenged everyday will thrive here; those who aren't willing to take that on will not. Wave is a place that gives an incredible amount to its employees, and by the same token it demands a lot of hard work back. Working here is a serious commitment.
