Pros

Wonderful opportunity to work in a field where you are consistently helping others and victims of crime. The line level staff is amazing and very talented. Many come from an amazing educational and experiential backgrounds.

Cons

Where to start... There is a reason that almost everyone working at this organization has a roommate and cannot afford to pay their student loans off... They pay their employs so poorly, it's so sad. The administrative management staff is archaic with their leadership style and rips their employees apart for the most trivial of issues. It's difficult because helping victims is amazing, but dealing with the organization itself is horrific. Oh and pay raises... You will be lucky if they grace you with an $0.17 an hour per year raise.

An unprofessional workplace

Pros

Entry level job position, experience with clients of different diagnosis. Working with diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Cons

Looking to leave this place as soon as possible. Worked here many years to gain experience and it was not worth it. Overworked and underpaid. The company discriminates against minority employees, paying them less and causes a hostile work environment for minorities. I have seen this happen to at least 5 of my co-workers at this company. This company offers minimal pay, you will not be able to get ahead. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The administration and management are unprofessional, causing an unprofessional work environment. Your manager will have poor boundaries, trying to find something wrong daily, instead of acknowledging the work that goes into working with these clients and cause an unnecessary daily stressful work environment. The management causes paranoia and anxiety daily for their employees making you feel that any time you may lose your position. Very unhappy place to work, when you want to give back and help the community.

Pros

Flexible schedule, somewhat decent pay

Cons

Management is not supportive, blame you for something that you didn’t do or weren’t aware of, tell you that they will work with you and they don’t, leadership needs to be better, company should look at their leaders bc they care too much about their looks and reputation instead of helping out their employees learn
