Absolutely NO work/life balance. The top management wrote the book on micromanaging and control. The Owners say they want your ideas of how to make things better, but it is all lip service. Everyone who works here knows the line "we are a family company" is total baloney and only spies if your last name is Griffin. The President is well known for saying "who's name is on the building" and "the building is open 24/7". Another gem is "did you get your paycheck on Friday". To try and describe the actual working conditions to someone who doesn't work here is futile. Because after all, who could believe that there is a company who totally disregards their employee morale problem for years on end, who has one of the highest turnover rates in the industry, and who just doesn't care about their employees at all. If you want to be a body in a seat, who gets abused often, then this is the place for you.

The rules: Do what Wayne wants. This means, work weekends, even if its just to show your face, put in more time than you really need to, don't leave early for any reason, don't take vacation. The culture here is so oppressive that he actually forces you to lie about things, and seems to be perfectly content with that. He trusts no one, cares for no one and your just a hammer being used until you break, then you will be replaced with another one. Wayne loves to say, I only ask that you work as hard as I do. Well here is some advise: Wayne works 16 hours a day, 12 on Saturday and Sunday. And has never taken a two week vacation....ever. Hes a millionaire, and you are not. But work as hard as he does, ad he may give you a 5% bump on your 18 month review. The place is ruled by fear. Fear you will loose your job, get written up or make some procedural mistake that gets you "on the radar". The level of micro management is actually impressive givin the size of the company
