Worst company I’ve ever worked for

Pros

If you work hard enough, you get to train your replacements for no additional pay.

Cons

Promote the most unqualified yes-men. Encourage “advancement” but fire you when you make too much money. Lay off hard working Americans but keep cheap foreign labor, and don’t renew their work visas when they expire. Pay only decreases with time. Revenue over safety. Expect to work 3 days straight making the company money, only to get in trouble for breaking safety policies, no way to win. You are a piece of meat in their scheme. Stockholm syndrome. Lies, lies, lies.

Pros

- Products / projects are interesting and fun to work on - Colleagues are great to work with - If you must take a job with Welltec, be sure to have an exit strategy; they're merely a stepping stone to get to the next company. Put in two years, learn all you can, then find something else

Cons

- Welltec seems to have a revolving door for some time now; very high turnover from individual contributors to Senior VPs & Directors - Their issues stem from poor management that comes directly from the COO - The COO as does the Area VP shares dirty laundry in documented form of the employees that were terminated from the company -- very unprofessional - The assigned Area VP micro-manages which provides a bottle neck on getting daily duties completed and delays progress on preparing for any client presentations - The AVP abuses and berates employees where the entire office can hear it; HR's hands are tied as they report to the AVP. Even though it goes against company policy, nothing is done to fix it and is brushed under the rug. - While the staff is intelligent and very eager to collaborate on projects, doors of offices are typically closed and individuals are reserved which is a clear sign of the type of culture bred by poor management - Welltec isn't loyal to employees with 15+ years with the company - Area VP requires you to bring him along to client visits only to upset your clients where the client asks you to NOT bring them along again. AVP is both inappropriate in their comments and not respectful of clients time. When a client says 30 minutes, it does NOT mean 2 hours. - Welltec has a history of using employees for their contacts and then releasing them - Employee bonuses are cut while AVP takes a 300k+ salary; instead of bonuses originally being based on % of sales, they're now capped and based on "company performance" thus dictating how much the company pays out to employees - Expect to receive -- several -- emails (2am-3am) full of tasks adding work to your daily duties that you weren't able to get done the day before because the AVP wanted to review your work with you - Expect to work 12+ hrs a day even if you work from home; can also expect to be working 12am-2am a few nights a week - Denmarks' time is more important than yours as they're required to take 5 weeks vacation often leaving you without support especially during the months of June/July. Unfortunately, the previous poor reviews are accurate; Welltec has not changed nor will in the foreseeable future.
