Pros

initially there were plenty of pros. It seemed like job security, culture was great.

Cons

But the CIO, who could not be a bigger idiot if he tried, continued to make horrible business decisions and constantly made everything a challenge to get planned and taken care of. Next time hire a CIO that actually knows technology. The culture shifted and the place that was great to work at became a hell hole. Back stabbing, lying, cheating, rigging systems, hardware, plants, stations, etc. I'm surprised no one has died yet. We had great IT on site FINALLY, she traveled around and seemed to really care about all of us. Western Midstream's ridiculous CIO replaced her with some short, squat chap who couldn't care less about any of us. This company could have been good after Oxy, but you guys let it be run by a bunch of bureaucratic jerks who only care about band aiding everything until the company sells. Oh ya, they're selling the company. Good luck! Aggressive and discriminatory behavior

Pros

Generous PTO. Generous volunteer payouts to charities for hours volunteered.

Cons

Low raises if any at all. High turnover. Applicant pool is poor so we are replacing good staff with whatever we can get. Managements head is in the sand when it comes to turnover. They say we are in line with industry. Maybe the fast food industry. The core values are not followed. People who once are were reported to HR for behavior win company awards later. PTO is great but you’ll have to work overtime to take any because workloads are heavy and you’ll get behind. You can be a star performer and get the same performance rating as someone who doesn’t complete their work. They were advertising biweekly work from home to new job candidates and then took it away. We lost good people because of that.

Pros

Compensation Benefits Bonus (if it's a good year) Flexibility (one week in the office, one week work from home)

Cons

Management talks the talk, but does not walk the walk Poor upper management decisions Micromanagement at all levels Majority of management is there because they have kissed up to the right people Too many managers who do nothing, not enough workers that actually get things done Good employees are rewarded with more work, bad employees are rewarded with promotions
