Pros

You will learn a lot about: Software level troubleshooting SIP Stack Analysis Linux The developers, engineers, and support technicians are all very fun to work with and genuinely good coworkers. The CTO is a great boss, and has a genuine level of contagious excitement for the technology you're working on. He's the only good part about the executive/management team.

Cons

Management here is very disorganized, and as a result generates a very toxic environment for everyone under them. Generally if there is an issue (which in technology there always will be), regardless of the cause, you should have worked on it better. There's never any situation where you or your team isn't to blame for something, unless another team is. Screaming from management was a weekly if not daily occurrence regardless of situation. There were many times after being screamed at on a conference call, afterward I'd have coworkers stating they had no idea what management was even screaming about. Generally this was due to a lack of understanding at the management level as to what was going on. There is a great deal of manipulation from management, asking you to report on your teammates, then having your teammates told behind your back to report on you because of "x or y" lately, making an environment that's conducive to competing with your team instead of working with them. I was constantly made to feel like taking a sick day, was wrong, and as such my health suffered for it, and was often caught feeling like I needed to work, regardless of how sick I felt. My manager would constantly give me new directives and policies to follow, and if I didn't follow them exactly regardless of situation, I was berated, and if I followed them directly, about half the time I would be asked why I would ever do X that way, and I was to do that this way now, and on top of that, implement this new report and process. It had gotten to the point where I knew something would fall behind, it was a matter of figuring out which had the least chance of being screamed at. Even when it was conveyed that there was just too much to keep track of, it would get shifted to someone else who didn't have the capacity either, and you would be viewed as unreliable or unable to achieve or complete tasks. It is so bad and toxic, and the employees are so fearful of management, that at times there are discussions among teams as to how to ensure management doesn't find out about certain things, so that you all don't get screamed at every morning for days. Once you're yelled at for something, you're under a microscope for at least a month before they relax on you slightly, but you have one manager in the main office who likes to facilitate problems aimed at others, so it is not aimed at him when he's stressed and can't make development deadlines. You are trained not to trust anyone unfortunately, and the only manager in the exton office is one to make you feel like he can be trusted, and will turn around and throw you under the bus at the first sign he gets where he can use it as an opportunity to distract management from something he may be yelled at for. I have also seen, and witnessed the amount of effort put forth to remove glass door reviews that aren't favorable to them, so I would not be surprised if this is gone a few weeks from now. I tried to make this as honest and professional as possible to make that difficult, but they are very persistent in getting these types of reviews removed, and then asking employees to make accounts to leave more positive reviews. All in all steer clear of this company, until the management changes and stops venting their own stress and frustration onto the employees and making them all anxious and fearful of their jobs on a daily basis, its not worth the stress.
