Pros

The other staff members are great to work with and allow you to expand your network for future opportunities

Cons

Management is incompetent and promoted based on who they know not what they know, HR is lead by the CEOs ex football coach and treats the entire staff like they are the children he used to lead. Pay is poor and funnels up to the management. Management is made up of friends and family of the CEO providing no future prospects by providing results only by sucking up to the CEO or his friends.

Nepotism runs deep

Pros

Casual attire, definitely some friendly people that work - although this is not everyone and there are definitely a lot of issues that need to be addressed. Some people are able to do very well in this company but seems like what you look like, your race, sex and who you know helps with this (which goes without saying is not fair)

Cons

Nepotism is a big issue at this family owned company. Family members and other family friend private school white male’s get a lot of opportunities like promotion to managers over other employees who have been working there much longer and harder. It some situations these people are just promoted without fairly interviewing and considering other well deserving candidates. I’ve seen a lot of good employees leave because of this. This company was definitely a boys club when I worked there. More so white private school boys club. There is an expectation that you work overtime for a lot of departments and depending on the department aren’t always offered over time. Some departments seem to be paid well and others not enough. They try to offer free lunches and free food as incentives for people to work more. But I’m sure people would prefer enough staff were hired so they don’t need to constantly do overtime and that they were paid reflective of the hard work they put in. I was in a supervisor position and I believe I was treated unfairly by management etc. I am female and I was not put in some interviews to hire people I would be supervising which I always previously performed. Instead the previous supervisor who is also a white male was put in the interview even though he hadn’t worked in the position for over 2 years. Other occurrences of my boss at the time saying inappropriate things to me that were creepy, not appropriate for work and are considered harassment. Not being backed up by my boss to do my role as supervisor properly especially when it came time to enquire about what my team were working on etc. I also saw extremely hard working people not get raises for a number of years and people training employees with less knowledge and getting paid 20k less than the person they are training. You may get compensated well but it’s not fairly distributed and it’s dependent on factors such as listed above.

Pros

None -To be avoided at all costs!

Cons

Seriously Toxic Culture from the head down- Nothing but lies & propaganda in the media. Absolutely no care or interest in any members of staff. Destroying talent that has left in droves. Recruiting used car shonks that are running the business into the ground!
