Pros

Great views, and beautiful offices. Conveniently located near many yummy lunch places. Central train station across the road

Cons

As a provisional psychologist the management does not know anything about the internship guidelines and the APS code of ethics. In Particular section A.2.1 of the ethical code. I was asked to “reframe” coercion of clients and told that as it’s an insurance company, they want to save money, so actual rehabilitation was not at all a priority. My supervisors instructed me to find a new role. The team meetings foster a culture of accusing clients of malingering. Some team members are highly competitive leading to an atmosphere that is less than collegial. Managers expect older female staff to be “office mama bear” and bring them cake and sandwiches and speak to them very gently, as normal adult speech is experienced by them as aggression.
