Pros

No unnecessary burden. Work your hours and log out. I can speak for my process, where we are not required to stay online or work weekends for any deliverables.

Cons

Limited growth prospects. Promotions given on the basis of experience and not necessarily based on skills or leadership qualities.

Pros

Definitely start up thinking, or maybe better worded, start-over thinking. We've lost over sixty highly skilled workers to better companies since I started less than a year ago. I don't want to yammer on about that though, there's been enough Yammering. I'm looking elsewhere now.

Cons

We're told how we are the future and all those people that left just fear change. The mantra is if they left they fear change? The people that uprooted their lives and changed jobs, fear change? At first it made sense to me, I enjoyed the koolaid and potential opportunity. Now, ever few weeks I see a mission critical employee leave and the rest of us scramble to pick up the mess with little to no cross-training and the mantra continues, they feared changing their old ways. I feel like it's assimilate, or move on. I'll take the latter, check please, as quickly as possible. Where's the Board in all this? Complicit? Unaware? All these eerily similar worded positive GlassDoor posts, almost the same writing style, talking about the direction of the company. What is the direction of the company? Where is the transparency that existed in the fall? How's membership? How's revenue? Down is certainly a direction. Please stop selling profit as revenue, we're not all sheep. I guess we'll have to wait till the financials are posted on Propublica, if we're still called WorldatWork.

No need to worry about "Old Ways"

Pros

Pro for me, I no longer work there. Bringing my "old ways" to another company so I can help cut their department budget in half and help bring them into the future. I'm being listened to, I'm learning, and my opinion is valued, not overlooked because of my tenure. There are so many good people at Worldatwork, minus the politics the people are great.

Cons

Leadership has certainly created a new environment, just not based on "creativity, growth, fun, honesty, teamwork, and so much more". This would explain why over 50 people are gone in less than 9 months, almost half the company. There's a divide, a very uncomfortable divide, between pre- and post-CEO change employees.
