Pros

There are no pros to working for this company.

Cons

Appalling lack of communication between company leadership/program managers and employees. This gross lack of communication is the key driver of Xator’s dismal management and questionable practices. In nearly 6 months under Xator’s employ, not one piece of correspondence from any member of leadership has been sent regarding the company’s motivations or business developments. Emails to managers go unanswered as do phone calls. Seated employees don’t appear to be a consideration with leadership and management; employees are flagrantly dismissed, ignored and uninformed as to what the company is doing, the business efforts being executed and the company’s overall outlook across the defense contracting environment. With regard to the questionable management practices, it became evident very early on that the hiring staff and program managers do not properly evaluate a candidates’ resume to place the candidate against the best matching opportunity that reflects the candidate’s background. In short, Xator’s pure disinterest in mission support is blatant; its true interests are filling seats quickly and thinning its contract award profit margins at the benefit of the company, but at the detriment of employee salaries. Your goals and career path are very much secondary to Xator’s management. Unfair compensation. Know your value. One employee was hired as a senior analyst—a position slotted for a GS-13—but was grossly underpaid. Yes, contract margins tend to be tighter these days…but this was beyond insulting. No culture. In 6 months, no company outreach and not even a whisper of a company-sponsored get together, happy hour, in-house training, relationship-building event or any effort to establish a culture of comradery amongst employees or celebrate their achievements. The value you bring to the customer goes wonderfully unnoticed by the company. Depending on one’s endurance, even a mission-first employee will eventually grow weary of not being properly compensated for the value being delivered.

Hard work not appreciated

Pros

Nice office building, free coffee and good salary.

Cons

Despite your years of experience, hard work, dedication, compliments and awards given to you by the "client", you will not receive any pat on the back or words of praise from management. In fact, it is just the opposite. Sadly, have been called a "little person" many times.

Pros

None. No pros to working at this company.

Cons

The management of this company is a little club run by people whos egos are large. They keep buying companies and when they do they tell the employees that nothing will change and there is some sort of plan but its not true. They changed our benefits and keep trying to force us into their "culture" which is non-existent. I left as fast as I could
