Here you will gain great experience as a photographer and insight on the industry. There are always opportunities for creativity and it is always encouraged. Photographers meet monthly for inspiration and insight from each other. You will find many talented and experienced creatives at Yuen Lui Studio.
Cons
The biggest downfall is the pay rate, starting at $13 an hour with a possible $.50 raise yearly. With such a high price tag on photography sessions and packages, it's a shame that the photographers take a 1% commission. You shouldn't expect to succeed financially here, but if you're willing to work the high stress environment for a creative job you will take away valuable skills. Aside from pay rates, working long weekends is non negotiable. There seems to be a lot of negativity throughout the company, possibly due to economical downturn.
