work life balance takes a hit sometimes

They don't give any kind of notice when they need you for a class. They are ridiculously late in sending essential course materials, and insist upon sending it via mail. So good luck with that 3 day course when you get the books and attendance sheets 2 weeks after the course is over. I honestly think they're too lazy to scan and email documents. Accounting makes errors all the time and is always late. Communications are across the board unprofessional, and all promises with no delivery. In addition to paying less than every other organization, they also don't compensate for transportation or photocopies.
