    Pros

Hours, Salary, benefits, opportunities for advancement

    Cons

Lack of structured training for site managers

    Advice to Management

Continue to use the talent found in members of your teams. Focus on creating a formal, documented training program with company trainers to ensure the success of the teams and the company as a whole. Senior management needs to make sure they are visible, approachable and willing to be open to suggestions from their subordinates.

I worked at iStorage full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a great place to work!....... until istorage took over.

    Cons

They alienated the whole community with their cold-blooded approach in our small town. Store managers were subjected to tremendous abuse from good people who were shafted by istorage but took it out on us. I don't blame them because of the inhumane way they treated their customers.

    Advice to Management

I wonder if Chris Miller knew what kind of blundering, backstabbing management imbeciles he had working for him. At my location alone we could have made $5000 per month more if they had just an ounce of common sense. They will say they were successful if you want to say missing out on $5000 per month is successful.

    I worked at iStorage full-time

    Pros

The opportunity for advancement with iStorage is there and there are some very good people working for the company.

    Cons

The direction of the company changes as often as the wind. There was one upper-level manager that had no business being in the position he was in other than a friendship with the right person, Communication and training are also lacking from the top down and vice versa. The constant greed to hit profit goals get dumped on the property manager after rental increases more frequent than industry standards,

    Advice to Management

Change in any business is understandable but changes coming to management on sometimes a weekly basis causes chaos and confusion. My advice would be to implement the changes to policy and procedures quarterly. This would give you the opportunity to fine tune as well as make certain the changes are going to achieve the desired results. I would also advise a better communications and training strategy for hourly and salary employees.
