A bad company.

Pros

A flexible schedule is the only good thing.

Cons

Unequal base rate for all consultants (some are more valued than others), unannounced reduction in pay, poor IT department, very little bonuses, average score dependent on clients' grades.

Pros

High booking rate and generally a flexible attendance policy.

Cons

Communication through com Center is slow (when you even get a response). Many employees just do not know what they are doing and/or understand some basic logic. I recently got separated, became a single parent and moved to my own apartment. Two days after moving I taught (I had taken two Days off for the move). I taught one class In The morning and in the afternoon received an email that my account was deactivated due to demo attendance. I immediately contacted them and asked what was going on as I had not had an absence that day, nor did I teach a demo. A day and a half later I received an email stating that they would reactivate my account in two days , along with a list of my absences. I thanked them but pointed out that three of the absences were invalid (btw these are solely demo classes which you are forced to do and in which a different attendance policy is placed). I explained that the three invalid absences were due to technical issues on their end and I sent the screenshots which proved that (which I had done at the time and went back and forth bc the people couldn’t understand what they were looking at). As well as screenshots of the conversations , once they understood that they were the problem, in which I was told not to worry and the absence would be “taken care of.” Btw the tech issues were that my session page showed no scheduled classes to enter..but I would then get an absence for a class I never had! So after sending the screenshots (again) and explaining the situation, I got no response. The day that my account was supposed to be reactivated..it was not. I reached out again through several platforms, tutorchat, comm centre and email. No response. So here I am. I will not teach for them even if this is cleared up. As this is one of many incompetent mistakes that were made on their end. I should not have to spend so much time watching the company I work for. They have scheduled classes that I did not book, unfairly taken my bonus etc. generally speaking, the issues are cleared up as I have screenshots of EVERYTHING (I learned quickly that that is necessary), but twice the issues have not been cleared up. This is with absolute proof. This company has acted ignorantly and very unprofessionally.

Pros

Very flexible environment. You get to decide how much time and effort you want to put into your work. The website is very easy to work with.

Cons

No potential for growth. The bonus system could be better.
